Langhe is a district in Piemonte (in northwestern Italy), but is also part of our imaginery. Its definition keeps swinging between geography and history, gastronomy and art. We can wonder therefore who ever invented Le Langhe, its myth: was he an historian or a chef, a winegrower o maybe a poet, a painter or...all of them altogether? Crests vanishing into the muddle of the moorland taking turns at the arrangement either of the vineyards or the hazel-trees; the isolated farm-houses, like castles on the top of the hills, small streams flowing at the bottom of each narrow valley. Looking at the dawn from the avenue where lie the abandoned ancient shops you can see striking vineyards up to the horizon and you can grasp every perfections, recognizing the value of such a complex arrangement. Le Langhe, this strip of land between the Alps and the Ligure sea is rich of traditions and legends creating a magic atmosphere which is absolutely fascinating. And just by admiring this magic place, where in the twentieth century some important painters from Piemonte spent a long time painting canvasses with their palette and colours the town council at that time decided to record Bossolasco as "The Langhe's Pearl! And still today this Pearl is so iridescent to enlighten the soul of those who, through their art, are able to show to others the beauty of this place full of memories and art.
FORMS & COLOURS. ARTISTS INTO THE OLD SHOPS
And finally today that dream we all heartly wanted, waited for and desired has become reality! It is a meeting of men and women, artistic emotions, deep and virtuous feelings. We have come to the fifth edition of the project Forms and Colours. Considering the success of the previous editions we were induced to repeat this event presenting thirtythree "new" artists already known even beyond the Piemonte region, often with a national and international importance. Thanks to the project Forms and Colours we first brought to life successfully the "dead houses" again: now we have in mind to repeat that with the "Old Shops". The exhibition takes place along Paolo Della Valle Avenue where the old shops lie sadly abandoned. Looking at an exhibition we often don't take care of its huge sensations' patrimony, even if we can benefit anyway of the emotions it gives us! But we are sure that the bright air of the works' colours and forms can enlighten even the old shops sadly abandoned.
